O meu nome é Carla Sónia Lopes.
A pintura surgiu no meu percurso como uma forma natural de expressão e de aproximação ao mundo que me rodeia. Embora tenha formação em engenharia, foi através da pintura que encontrei um espaço de maior alinhamento pessoal e criativo.
Trabalho sobretudo com acrílico e óleo, explorando temas ligados à natureza e aos animais, frequentemente através de uma linguagem abstrata e sensorial.
O meu trabalho não procura a representação literal, mas sim traduzir atmosferas, memórias e emoções associadas ao meio natural. Interessa-me captar aquilo que permanece para além da imagem — a sensação, a presença, o silêncio e a força subtil da natureza.
Entre texturas, cor e gestos mais intuitivos, cada pintura surge como uma interpretação pessoal da relação entre o mundo exterior e a experiência interior.
Atualmente, continuo a desenvolver o meu trabalho artístico de forma consistente, construindo um percurso assente na autenticidade, na observação e na ligação profunda ao natural.

My name is Carla Sónia Lopes.
Painting emerged in my path as a natural form of expression and a way of connecting with the world around me. Although my background is in engineering, it was through painting that I found a greater sense of personal and creative alignment.
I work primarily with acrylic and oil, exploring themes connected to nature and animals through an abstract and sensory visual language.
My work does not seek literal representation, but rather the translation of atmospheres, memories, and emotions associated with the natural world. I am interested in capturing what remains beyond the image — sensation, presence, silence, and the subtle strength of nature.
Through texture, colour, and intuitive gesture, each painting emerges as a personal interpretation of the relationship between the external world and inner experience.
I continue to develop my artistic practice with consistency, building a path grounded in authenticity, observation, and a deep connection to the natural world.
